CapeStars, Zeze Kingston renew ambassadorial ties
Alcoholic spirit producers CapeStars and amapiano musician Zeze Kingston have entered into a new one-year brand ambassador agreement.
The deal was announced on Monday afternoon during an event held at HS Winehouse in Namiwawa, Blantyre.

CapeStars general manager Darlington Ndasauka said the relationship they have built with Zeze Kingston during his initial tenure as brand ambassador has given them confidence that he is the right person to help the brand reach new heights.
“We believe the renewal of this collaboration will also help us as a brand to move forward. We need each other’s energy. The people in the creative industry are key in communicating about our brand because that is the realm where we are also thriving,” he said.
Ndasauka said Zeze Kingston has many people that follow him through his music and they want that population to drive the growth of CapeStars as a brand too.
He said: “When we rolled out the brand, one of our key goals was to place the product as one of the leading forex earning local products. That is why we came up with a product which is more premium and one which can compete on the global market.”
On his part, Zeze Kingston said the renewal of the contract is a beautiful thing because it means he is being trusted as an artist and a brand.
He said: “We started the relationship at the start of the CapeStars franchise rolled out and so far it has symbolised the ideals of fun and entertainment. Renewing our partnership is a vote of confidence of what I can bring on the table.
“It is motivating, not just to me, but other people who follow me as well. I am inspired and I appreciate the gesture. I take this as my home and it is pleasing to see that we are growing together.”
The Achisale creator said there is need to show more aggression for the brand to achieve the new strategies that they have rolled out to beat challenges stemming from the prevailing forex challenges.
“We had other targets but now the focus has shifted. The bring-back-the-bottles campaign the company is implementing is key in averting the challenges from the same. The message of returning the bottles needs to reach everyone,” he said.
